We’ve seen and experienced some great events this summer but Saturday night in Axtell was one of the best times I’ve had all summer. The crowd was awesome! It was cool to see new faces, make new friends and feed off the energy they kept throwing at us. Nebraska people can party with the best of them and definitely know how to have fun! The Axtell Fire Department did an outstanding job putting this event together. The event could not have been more organized and professional, from the staging to the security and the gate staff everything went off perfectly.

A special thanks goes out to each member of the Axtell Fire and Rescue team, these guys worked their asses off to put together a first class event. I personally want to thank Jeff Nelson for his attention to detail and for putting up with my constant phone calls and questions. Kevin Ericson for all the advance work he did early on in the process, and Jeff England for leading the troops. Thanks also to Y102 and Scott O’ Rourke for introducing the band, Mark Weinand, Hits 106 and Rock 101.5 and all the sponsors who helped bring Judd Hoos to Axtell.

Last but not least thanks to everyone who showed up and made the night so much fun!

Meridan Iowa was incredible!  Thanks Roberta for putting on one hell of a street dance.  It never ceases to amaze me how cool the people in Iowa are… one of my favorite places to be.
