Look at the 'picture of the week bellow' and you will see an amazing picture of a Red Zone bartender fast asleep after the show. His neck looks like it is going to fall off.

Two packed shows this weekend! Big thanks to 103.1 the Thunder for coming out to the show in Kearney. We had the distinct pleasure of doing a photo shoot with Jenner Media, part of which was shot at The Roman. We can't thank the Roman enough for letting us shoot above their restaurant and what a great job Stu did from Jenner Media. We're looking forward to working with him again in the future.

Hey folks. The pictures from Sutherland, Iowa and Madison, South Dakota are up. Iowa has been very good to us! It's really been the best new area we've started playing in. Big thanks to Chad from being his bus full of hoos heads and Beef for putting the whole thing on
The famous Judd Hoos fan 'Denver' made an appearance Madison; which turned out to be a pretty wild night. I'd like to thank the most annoying Judd Hoos fan - 'Kayla' - for not shutting her big mouth durring one of our breaks about how she needed a free Judd Hoos t-shirt. Kayla congradulations. You are the most annoying person I have ever met. She single handidly ruined 20 minutes of my life without the use of violence. Gandhi would be proud.

I'm gonna single out Amy, Pete, Nichole, Amanda, Luke and the all they way from Denver: 'Stone Cold' Sean. These guys take partying up a notch! The staff was a complete class act and we really felt welcomed. Thanks to Shane and Eric for having us.
We're taking a weekend off but on November 17th and 18th we are going to be back in Chadron at the Red Zone.
See you there,
Chris
October 31st
Hey Hoos heads. The picture section is updated so check out the pics from Sturgis and Casper. You can see KBHU & KSKY made a huge presence in Sturgis. Bob had an interview with Chad from KSKY on Friday. I'll try to get hold of it and get it on the site. It is definitely one of the best interviews I've ever heard. They got into some talk of Bob's earlier days with Zwarte' and the forming of Judd Hoos. The show itself was kick ass and I'm looking forward to our next show at the Loud American in December.
Casper was a different kind of monster. The bar was having its Halloween party and madness ensued. I was on mission in Casper to get a picture with every hot girl in the bar. I did pretty well (check out pics 4 & 5) but check out the 5th pic. This girl was completely disgusted at me. I had a great time at her expense. You can see that she could not even take a moment to fake interest in me for the picture.
Drew went as Justin... AKA 'Power Hawk'. You can see him in all his hawk glory in the picture with 'madonna'. Who Shane found out was not 'madonna', but was in fact a stripper and just dressed that way all the time. Bob MC'd the costume contest and winners included soldiers with an iraqi soldier. The pictures don't this little arabian wannabe justice. He really was one of the most annoying little bastards ever. He would constantly run around with an American Flag and wave it in Bob's face.
Halloween is the best. Later,
Chris
October 25th
Hi Everyone, It’s my turn to shed some light on the strange and exciting events that transpired in the world of Judd Hoos this past week. It was good to get back on the road again (and by road I mean roads other than the ever exciting and scenic I 90) We had a great time returning to Little Bo’s in Columbus Nebraska on Friday night. Got to hang out the Ashleys, Marty and Lori, Craig-Ratt, and Kentucky among the sea of drunken Columbus partiers. It was good to see a bunch of familiar faces in the crowd as well as some old friends from Nebraska. Little Bos got wild as usual. I can’t get into the specifics but there was an incident with a mudd shark. Thanks to Dave and the crew for bringing the Hoos back to town for another big night at Little Bo’s.
We returned to Cunninghams in Kearney Nebraska on Saturday night. This was our second time at Cunninghams and it was a lot of fun. We enjoyed a very responsive crowd and a live music atmosphere that is hard to beat. It was great to see Brad and Lisa and their entourage again in Kearney. We really appreciate the support we get from you guys! There was a celebrity appearance by Carrie Fisher and her friends Sky and Rosa that Hornick caught on camera. Thanks to Mike at Cunninghams for bringing us back to town. We look forward to next time.
This Friday we return to the Loud American in STURGIS for the first time since the 2006 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and on Saturday Judd Hoos makes a long overdue return to the Attic in Casper, WY. Hope to see you there!
-Shane
October 11th
Judd Hoos is on break!!! We're getting off of a 20 week straight run. This past weekend was a great way to end it. We got to party with Ryan 'Mother Fucking' Olson and Nate 'Kick Your Ass' Hill in Canton. It was cool to see Denver and a shit ton of Judd Hoos fans in Watertown. Judd Hoos is loved in Watertown! The party afterward was... different.(check out the pictures in the picture section) Shane, Justin, and I made it out to what looked like a taping of Jack Ass or a sequel to Animal House. Beer bottles were being thrown against walls and many other 'things' that I'm not going into. Thanks to Cathi for throwing a kick ass post-party and turning the Hoos onto the band 'DOPE'.
Enjoy the break fuckers. I'm going to.

More scenic touring on I 90, and more evidence that people in Iowa Rock!
If you live in Northwestern Iowa you definitely have your priorities straight, drinking, driving to see Judd Hoos, and more drinking. Thanks to Bruce AKA Beef and his crew from Sutherland for showing up in Sioux City. Thanks to Chad for bringing his party bus down to Sioux City from Primghar. Thanks to Brent and Rick at the Chesterfield for bringing us back to town. Special thanks to Rick for letting Drew and I use his world-class assortment of drums and cymbals. Thanks to our new friends in Sioux City, we can’t wait to come back.
Saturday night found us in Alcester South Dakota the hometown of Black Hills radio celebrity Murdoc Jones. Murdoc’s family was kind enough to host the band for the night. We can’t say enough about the generosity of the Jergensen family. We really appreciate having such a comfortable friendly environment to hang out in. Ronda’s home cooking was a welcome change to our usual fare of late-night convenience store delicacies. Thanks so much for hospitality.
The Alcester Bar underwent the transformation from a relatively quiet small town bar into a insanely loud small town bar with a truck load of PA and lights packed into the corner and a full-on rock show in place of the video lottery machines. The night turned out to be a lot of fun. Once again we had the good fortune of having some more crazy Iowa people show up. Lindsey and her friends made the hour and a half drive from Sutherland to enjoy the show. Thanks girls the night would not have been the same without you! Our favorite fans from Luverne, MN were in the house as well, Happy Birthday Kevin! Murdoc’s presence (celebrity appearance) brought out the locals to enjoy his excellent drumming on an Offspring cover. The night culminated with a friendly social gathering and some competitive Mario cart at conveniently arranged after-bar house party.
See you this Friday in Canton. The show is listed as a private party but I have been giving permission to invite anybody I want. So anybody who reads this is cordially invited to Canton, SD for a night of fun. Seriously you are invited it’s at Nate “Kick Your Ass” Hill and Ryan “Motherfuckin” Olson’s shop in Canton, you can’t miss it, just pull into to town and ask or email me from the website for directions (it’s right in town on the Main Highway).
This Saturday finds Judd Hoos in the party haven of downtown Watertown, SD at the Harbor Bar. 605-886-9817
See you there!

Random thoughts and quotes for September 22 & 23. Judd Hoos drives and drives and drives some more. “This band undergoes more windshield time than most long-haul truckers.” Justin Ehlers “I want to knock myself out with a blunt object in order to escape the droning sounds of the tires on Interstate 90 and the endless monotony of the barren South Dakota Plains” Shane Funk
“Do you guys have a CD out yet?” random drunk guy in Iowa
“This brown stuff tastes like cinnamon” some drunk chick in Iowa
“I’m Bryan Fellows” Drew Lerdal
“Kicks Ass! Dave Dwelle
“This map means nothing to me” Justin Ehlers
Sutherland Iowa was a unique experience and proved to be one hell of a good show for the Hoos. This was a first for me, a venue where patrons bring their alcoholic beverage of choice and spend the night drinking from each other’s coolers. There was large jug of thick brownish liquid that seemed to continually make the rounds with more frequency as the night progressed. The purpose of this jug apparently was to ensure that each person in the room swapped some viral or bacterial culture in an effort to strengthen the community’s collective immune system. The place was rockin’ by 9PM and the crowd was a blast to play to. What a great time! A huge thanks goes out to Bruce and Ken for bringing Judd Hoos to town. We really enjoyed Sutherland and will be returning for their Street dance next Summer.
Bennington Nebraska was another great night. This place is one of the coolest live music venues I’ve ever played at. Jeff and Joanne Preuss have restored an old ballroom to perfection and created a perfect environment for a concert. As always, Nebraska crowds kick ass and the hospitality was great. This was a powerful show where everything was tight as shit and the sound and lights were incredible. Our tech crew (Dave & Justin AKA Smoke Screen & Power Hawk) know bring their A – Game when it comes to putting on a rock show.
Thanks to Jeff & Joanne for bringing us back to Bennington, thanks to all the Omaha Hoos-Heads who made the short trip up 156th Street. Thanks to Justin and Amanda for the great food and for hanging with us after the show. Thanks to Kyle, Justin and their crew for all the help on the load-out.
This next week will finds us once again making the mind-numbing track across I90 on route to Sioux City, IA . Judd Hoos is performing at the Chesterfield in Sioux City(712-255-5658) on Friday and at the Alcester Bar (605-929-6808) in Alcester, SD on Saturday. We ‘re bringing Alcester’s native son ( Murdoc Jones) back to the open arms of his home town for a special celebrity homecoming event that could very well involve binge-drinking, midget wrestling, feats of strength and a lengthy discussion on the merits of tranny porn. See You There!

Has this website turned into a 'Chris Hornick' personal blog? Well until the rest of the band gets their shit together it will be. (Don't be afraid to call those lazy fuckers out)
This past weekend was fun and a little crazy. It really began on Saturday...
Drew, myself and the crew went to the IMAX and checked out one of the 3D movies. Well worth the price. As Justin said 'The first 30 seconds is worth the $10.'
Unfortunately the Huskers lost. But Shane and I got to party with Nebraska's finest while SC wiped out Nebraska. Shout-out to Bad Brad, Ted, Jason, and the rest of the crew. Most made it out to the show that night. The weekend ended well with a FUCKING TORNADO during our show. It was about 80 blocks away but that was still some crazy shit.
Amanda and Justin of Bennington took some great pictures of the band and you can check em' out in the picture section. Click on the picture below to go to myspace page.
Rock and Roll mother fuckers,

Hello everyone! This past weekend was awesome! Definitely a highlight of the summer. The USD Street Dance in Vermillion was enormous even though it was cold out. I'm still amazed at the energy of the crowd. It was good to see Drew's sister and meeting the faces of the people who put on the event. Thank you! We are looking forward to next year.
Our show in Omaha was fantastic. This was great exposure for the band. Junior at the Anchor inn is the real hero. He let us headline a great show in front of some popular Omaha bands like Groove Puppet. These guys were a great band and more importantly a class act (Thank you Chuck for helping us out). I'd also like to thank Z92 and Omahanightlife.com for pushing the band's name. More importantly, thank you to everyone who came out to support the band.
Thank you!

Hello hoos fans! Our third time at the Alliance Heritage days was the best ever! Drew pointed out that during the show on Saturday night there was a line down the street to get in. Just check out the pictures. I'd like to thank Mary and Bruce from the Bowlmor for being such class acts and giving us a place to play.
Much praise to Jeff who threw a kick ass party Friday night. That man has balls! He threw his party right across the police station and the courthouse! On Saturday night Shane and I made it out to an open Jam after the show. We ended up playing for until 4:30 and had a great time! Thanks Derek!
If you haven't checked the SHOWS section lately you'll see that we have had some recent schedule changes. We are not playing in Hulet this year for the rally but don't panic we will next year and you can always catch us at the Loud American on Main Street Sturgis. We will be playing with some of our good friends like Dirty Word, Ded Walleye, and the Drew Davis Band. Also performing are Judge Jackson, American Minor, and the 80's rock band Enuffs Z' Nuff.
That's the lowdown and I'll see you at the Rally!

Thanks to everyone who made it out to Fur Trade days in Chadron! If you made it out to the show you should check us out in Alliance during the Heritage Festival in a couple of weeks.
June 24th
Thanks to everyone who made it out to Sturgis last night! I had a great time! Thanks to everyone at the Loud American for being such class acts. If you missed American Minor inside the bar then you missed out! These guys were some serious down to earth rockers from West Virginia. I'm looking forward to playing with these guys during the rally. Go to: AmericanMinorMusic.com for more info on these guys.

Greeting from the Hoos camp! We have had a blast the last three weeks! Starting in Torrington Wyoming at the Bronco we had surprisingly large turnout for a show that was booked on less than a weeks’ notice. The next night was Dudes in Sidney Nebraska. What a great crowd and what fun place to play. The owners and staff at Dudes treated us to hospitality second to none. There is definitely some avid live music fans in Sidney. It was great to see the world’s best drum tech again as well!
The following weekend in Chadron was such a great time that it was tough to leave. All I can say is Chadron State knows how to party! Thanks Dan, Clay and Mel, for bringing Judd Hoos back to town. Jokers is in good hands. We’ll be making a return trip to Chadron in July that looks to be a two-day outdoor event for an ancient ritual know as “Fur Trade Days”.
This past weekend was a return to Harrisburg South Dakota on Friday to the Phoenix. Turk and his staff have made the Phoenix one of the best live rock rooms in Eastern SD. It was great to see Nate “Kick Your Ass” Hill and Ryan “MF in ‘ “ Olsen for the first time in months. Ryan unveiled the monster Van. (check the pictures) this thing has the potential to change lives! Hopefully Ryan will let us borrow the van when we hit Sioux Falls next week. We will be back in Harrisburg Saurday July 1st.
Saturday night was another kick ass night at the Cactus in Mitchell. Thanks to Jeff for bringing live music toy Mitchell. Tara and Curt ROCK. Tammy and Traci made the trip from Chamberlain… in fact the were in Harrisburg as well, Thanks for the support girls!
Last but certainly not least a huge thanks goes out to our light man Justin for working through some serious pain to put on his incredible light show both nights. Justin you’re the best!
We’re taking this weekend off and then it’s on the road to Omaha Friday May 26th for the next Hoos show. This Summer is going to be a busy one, the schedule has us out for the next 14 weekends! As always keep your emails coming and don’t be afraid to tell us what you think on the guestbook.

April 24th
And our tale begins on the Monday of the 17th on top of Terry Peak
where our 4 heroes accompanied by Ric Todd and Justin Ehlers plan on finishing writing a truly awesome album....
...and then we got 5 feet of snow and lost electricity and heat and ran out of beer! But we did get some songs written and we didn't kill each other. Go to the pictures section to see all of 'fun' we had. At least it's a great story. We would like to thank the manager of Terry Peak for saving our lives by plowing us out Thursday and our neighbor Geline for giving us supplies. Oh, and Ric Todd for helping us finish writing our album!
The real fun started on Friday with an interview at 7:30am on XRock with the Morning Wood show and then playing their anniversary party that night at the Loud American Roadhouse in Sturgis . Anyone who was there can tell you how packed it was and what a great time everyone had. Then on Saturday we played the Cowboy Party in Rapid City for Delta Sigma Phi. Murphy's Law opened up for us and those guys were a class act and not to mention a great college band! The crew at Sig put on a great event and anyone who missed it should make it out next year.

April 9th
This was a fun ass weekend! Friday night we played the Office Bar, a cozy little cougar den south of Lincoln. Lots of Chris and Bob fans showed up to see the new project and it was nice to meet you all. Saturday afternoon I had the opportunity of introducing Bob to the wonderful world of sushi at a place downtown called Wasabi, if you’re ever in Lincoln check it out. After a quick lesson in chopsticks, I watched him destroy an entire plate of guacamole tuna rolls covered in wasabi and it was hilarious. We played Cunningham’s in Kearney on Saturday night and had a great time. Lots of new faces mixed in with some old favs, nice shirt Cody. After the show we had to do the “rock star” thing and talk to a reporter from The Grand Island Independent. This guy knew his stuff and it was a blast talking with him about Prince, Sting, and Rolling Stone.
This weekend’s shout outs go to the Fairbury cheerleading squad, Brad & Lisa, Cody and his crew (don’t forget to eat your pudding), Mindy and all of her buddies, and the guys in room 126.
I like to live my life one 1400 mile trip at a time,
-Drew
Special thanks to the newest members of the Judd Hoos road crew.
April 3rd
Thanks Omaha! We had a great time at the Chrome Lounge. What a cool club, what a great staff! Thanks to Scott and Randy for having us, it couldn’t have went any better. The support from our friends in Omaha was tremendous. It’s amazing how dedicated some of our friends have been in the past few months. For the second week in a row we got to see Amanda, both Justins and Kyle from Bennington, the Death Machine and Mook were out on Saturday night. Ted Garner made a rare celebrity guest appearance. Shawn & Max from Alliance were in the house. Dean from Columbus. The “Dude” made an appearance with Cletus and “Bad Brad” from Omaha. Free haircuts for Bob and Justin. Thanks Mellissa! You too Steph.. Verizon Rocks. Tons of new fans, great hospitality and late-night nude jumping-jacks at McDonalds. How can we ask for more. See you in Beatrice and Kearney this weekend.
-Shane
March 26th
The Columbus crowd was insane this weekend! Chadron came in full force and the Omaha police even came up Saturday night to party with the hoos!
Thanks to everyone who let us go to their after hour parties and everyone at Little Bo's for letting us throw down and kick some ass. It felt great to be playing again after our weekend off.
